Here are a few photos from my recent trip.
 
Traditional alley smack dab in the middle of busy downtown Kyoto.
 
 
There was a statue of Kannon/Kwanyin, who is the equivalent of the Virgin Mary in Buddhism, in the parking lot of a hotel I stayed at. They just built everything around "her" and renamed her the patron saint of travelers.
